If you use speed lights, this is a must-have item; I recently purchased my third (fourth, to be exact). I've misplaced i, but I'one thousand sure it'll be found somewhen). For a little extra dimension, I lit up the backdrop with the ii previous ones I already had. This one appealed to me due to the large number of custom-fit gels. Simple to work with. The device works well, just the gel foils are too thin and weak to be effective. I purchased the entire set (Rogue 3-). 1 Flash Grid Rogue Grid Gels Combo Filter Kit (20 Colors)), and I loved it so much that I ordered the smaller kit with white grids (Rogue iii-in-1 Filigree Gels Combo Filter Kit (20 Colors) right away. 1 filigree system with white filigree inserts for flash photography Gel Set). I found that the white grids diffused the calorie-free too much, so I tried mixing white and black grids, but the low-cal remained diffused; White grids and mixed black and white grids, on the other hand, seem to have some creative potential. So I went to the seller's website and ordered a set of replacement blackness grids (which were not available on Amazon). All- I'grand able to use this calorie-free for a variety of purposes. weight lite modifier with my (much) older flash that's too beefy to utilize in a soft box or with an umbrella AND it gives me light command I've never had before.

I wish I had bought MagMod in the offset place

I wish I'd just taken the plunge and bought MagMod gear first, instead of thinking I'd salvage money by doing so. This isn't an easy matter to work with at a wedding. It's not easy or clean to connect the unit to the flash or to adhere the gels. It volition simply exist placed on a shelf. The only option is to use MagMod. Just get ahead and practise it. It's not worth the money or the hassle until Rogue catches upward to today's easy-to-use products. For me, it was a waste matter of money.

A red filter adds some fill light to the left of the camera. The goal was to keep the light on the bears but away from the candles so that the candles' vibrant colors would not be washed out.
